Senior, hands-on
5+ years shipping production software, ideally with at least one project owned end-to-end. We're not building a junior pipeline yet.
Cross-stack instincts
Most engagements span a frontend, a backend, and an environment. Specialists welcome — but a strong T-shape on top of one deep area beats a narrow expert here.
Comfort with scope
You'll be in the scoping conversations, not handed a ticket. Saying "this should be cut" or "this needs another week" out loud, in front of the client, is part of the job.
Taste in tooling
A bias toward boring, well-trodden tools — and a clear-eyed sense of when to deviate from them. Strong opinions held loosely.
